Unit Section of Resource Book/Porfolio The French 1 Units contained in this section are based on the units provided by the Georgia Department of Education. Each unit contains a description of the grammar concepts to be mastered as well as the prerequisite grammar concepts. Each unit also contains all vocabulary pertinent to the topic of the unit. Finally each unit contains possible summative assessment from which the students can choose. All of this information is summarized in a student learning map. In addition to keeping each unit, students should take notes on class lectures and demonstrations. Notes should be typed within one week. Good Unit section divider is labeled in large, easy to read letters. Additional decoration adds to the unity and purpose of the divider. If additional words are used they are written in correct French.
Learning Map 2 pts	Poor Learning maps are missing or misfiled.	Fair Learning maps are placed after each corresponding unit.	Good Learning maps are placed before each corresponding unit.
Unit 2 pts	Poor Units are missing or misfiled.	Fair Units are placed before each corresponding learning map. Units may not be filed in a sequential manner. Some units may be missing.	Good Units are placed after each corresponding learning map. Units are filed in a sequential manner. Are units are present.
Notes 10 pts	Poor There is no apparent evidence of note taking or notes are hand written and lack a clear organizational structure.	Fair Evidence of note taking shows an inconsistency. Typed notes do not replace hand written notes within one week. Notes may not be in a clear, logical format. The date and essential question may occasionally be missing.	Good Evidence of note taking is apparent. Within one week of taking notes, student has typed them in a clear, logical format including both the date and essential question.
