Digital Photography - Portrait Assignment
Copy of Digital Photography-Portrai
Your assignment will be to shoot five portraits. (one or many individuals, your choice). All images must be properly exposed and must employ interesting compositions. Creativity and originality in the approach is highly encouraged. Some things to remember: Use "portrait mode" if your camera has it built in. It gives you a shallow "depth of field," . Use the red eye reduction option if your camera has it. Get close when you need it. Use you zoom or telephoto lens to get in close (don’t use digital zoom!). Use your flash when shooting outside during the day. This will soften the shadows on your subject's face and will add a catch-light to his/her eye. Hold the camera steady or use a tripod. Use “anti-shake” function if available. Shoot many (at least 40 photos) and select your best five. Adjust digitally in Photoshop (cropping and levels) only if needed. Save you photos as High Quality Jpeg’s. Upload to http://dc125101.ning.com/ Have fun shooting!
