Pajama Pants Rubric

Knowledge of sewing machine 10 pts	1 The student needed help with sewing machine on daily basis. Did not know how to thread machine and forgot to put presser foot down most of the time.	2 Student needed help with the sewing machine most of the time.	3 Student needed help with the sewing machine some of the time.	4 Student knew how to thread sewing machine/bobbin and put presser foot down all the time. Student was a help to others.
Followed Directions 5 pts	1 The student did not follow directions and had to start over. Elastic is not sewn properly. Pant hems have a raw edge. Seams are not pressed.	2	3	4 Student followed directions and asked for help from teacher or peers. Read all directions and cut pattern correctly, excellent elastic pressed/sewn correctly. The project was adequately constructed.	3 The student clipped most threads and iron the project prior to handing it in. The project was very well constructed.	4 The student clipped all threads and ironed the project. The project was "store bought" quality.
