Monologue
	Poor 7 pts	Fair 8 pts	Good 9 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Memorization	Poor Monologue is not memorized, need more rehearsal.	Fair Monologue is memorized, but there are 5 or more line flubs or skipped material.	Good Monologue is memorized, but there are 3 or more line flubs or skipped material.	Excellent Monologue is very well memorized and word perfect.
Concept	Poor No strong character choices made at all and no concept is created.	Fair Little character choices, major character breaks. There is not much of a concept for th epiece	Good Good characterization, but minor breaks, or inconsistencies. Concept is there but could have been strengthened.	Excellent Character work evident and had no breaks and very consistent. Concept is strong and creative.
Projection and Diction	Poor Lines are not clear and not understandable. No projection.	Fair Lines are muddled but slightly understandable. Only about half of what is said can be heard.	Good Lines are able to be heard and only minor diction issues. 75% of the piece is understood.	Excellent All lines can be heard and are very clear. All or almost all of the piece is understood.
Blocking and Physicality	Poor No Blocking was created and no physical characterization was done. Performance was just the student as themselves the whole time.	Fair Minimal Blocking and physical characterization. Some physicality was presented, but more than half was the student as themselves.	Good Blocking and physicality was present. Physicality choices were made, but could have been taken a step further.	Excellent Blocking and physicality was clear and present. Physical choices were made based on the text and demonstrated clearly.
Rehearsal Process	Poor Did not use rehearsal time appropriately. Spent little to no time rehearsing their piece or working on their worksheet.	Fair Rehearsed minimally throughout the process. More than half of the time was spent not working on the piece.	Good Used about 75% of the time to rehearse on their piece, and was otherwise distracted or occupied otherwise.	Excellent Used all or almost all of the given time to work on their piece or their worksheet. They utilized their time wisely and productively.
