Above Average-B The art work is planned adequately; understanding of some concepts and instructions shown.	Below average-C The artwork shows little evidence of understanding the concepts and instructions.	Poor-D ( or F if needed) The artwork shows no understanding of the concepts and instructions.
Creativity/ Craftmanship 20 pts Inventiveness, expression of ideas and imagination.	Excellent-A The artwork demonstrates some personal expression. The artwork shows excellent craftsmanship, and attention to detail.	Above Average-B The artwork demonstrates an average amount of personal expression. The artwork shows average craftmanship and attention to detail.	Below average-C The artwork demonstrates little personal expression. The artwork shows below average craftmanship and little attention to detail.	Poor-D ( or F if needed) The artwork lacks evidence of personal expression. The artwork shows poor craftmanship and no attention to detail.
Description 20 pts Students was able to describe, in detail, the purpose of the artwork in relation to their civilization.	Excellent-A The student was able to describe, in detail, the purpose of the artwork in relation to their beliefs. Presentation was given so that every one understood.	Above Average-B The student was able to describe their art work and present it to the class so that most understood the purpose of the art work	Below average-C The student was able to describe their artwork but not able to connect it to their beliefs.	Poor-D ( or F if needed) The student could not describe their artwork.
