	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Content Accuracy	Poor Student attempts to identify shapes by using vocabulary of circle, triangle and square.	Fair Student is able to identify one or more of the shapes. Student uses appropriate name to identify shapes.	Good Student is able to identify a triangle, circle and square by using the correct name to do so.
Understanding pattern formation	Poor Student is beginning to understand the concept of a pattern, but is not able to create one.	Fair Student has a basic understanding of pattern formation, but is unable to create one without asistance.	Good Student fully understands concept of pattern formation and is able to create one on thier own without asistance.
Class Participation	Poor Student was unable to pay attention or stay on task. Student did not participate in classroom discussion or activity.	Fair Listened quietly and stayed on task but did not answer questions when asked or participate in classroom discussion.	Good Student stayed on task and participated fully in classroom discussion and activity.
