Exceeds Expectations

The sculpture is a FORM: three-dimensional and encloses volume, having length, width, and height, versus shape, which is two-dimensional, or flat of volume and mass. It is composed of wire inside and out to indicate volume. It is NOT flat.
The sculpture's form is bold, dynamic, and interesting from every view.
Meets Expectations

Craftsmanship

Craftsmanship is the QUALITY that comes from creating with passion, care, and attention to detail

Exceeds Expectations

The overall composition is carefully and neatly crafted. It is evident by the details added, that a great deal of planning, time, and effort were put into creating the piece. All wire pieces are attached well. Any sharp pieces are tucked in or filed down. The sculpture is mounted securely on a wooden block that has been fully painted. You name is clearly written on the bottom of the block.
Meets Expectations

Techniques

Wire sculptors often create a loose outline of the shape they envision, followed by looping, coiling, braiding, weaving, crocheting, and other various techniques to give the sculpture volume and strength.

Exceeds Expectations

Methods used to attach and secure pieces of wire together is done successfully and with precision. Multiple techniques (twisting, spiraling, bending, wrapping, etc.) are combined to create an interesting and unified piece. The overall sculpture is neat with no loose ends sticking out.
Meets Expectations

Methods used to attach and secure pieces of wire together is done adequately. Less than two techniques (twisting, spiraling, bending, wrapping, etc.) are combined to create a basic piece. The overall sculpture appears somewhat neat.
