Speech contains persuasive/student uses 2-3 persuasive appeals (ethos/pathos/logos)/appeals can be clearly understood in the speech/evidence presented is cited and relates strongly to topic.
Work quality/effort

Poor

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Fair

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of/some understanding of demonstrated/weak and or unclear areas of the speech.
Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner has an understanding of the persuasive appeal used/speech is clear, concise, strong.

Does not meet time requirements / between 2-3 minutes in length or exceeds 5 minutes in length
