Rhythm Composition Students are assigned to work in pairs and create 2 rhythmic compositions that work together. Students then present their Rhythmic mash-up to the class using at least 1 instrument. Exceeding Group was able to create a sound composition that demonstrated a knowledge of all 4 elements of rhythm. (beat, tempo, pattern of duration and metre)
Rhythmic Mash-up	Not Yet The group's composition lacked any evidence of a steady rhythm.	Beginning The group created a composition that showed evidence of 1 rhythm.	Meeting The group created a composition that showed evidence of 1 rhythm and attempted to introduce a second rhythm into their performance.	Exceeding Group created a composition that included a mash-up of 2 rhythms within their song.
