Life Cycle Drawing/Story Students are to create a drawing of the life cycle of a butterfly or an insect that they create by using line, shape, and color. After they are finished drawing they are to write a brief story about their insect and their life cycle. Creativity	Below Average Students strictly copied the life cycle without using their own imagination. Students did not use much color or go in depth with their drawin or story.	Average Students followed all of the rules. Students did the minimum for the assignment.	Above Average Students went above and beyond the requirements of the guidelines. Students used elaborate drawings to demonstrate the life cylce of the butterfly or in insect they created.
Story	Below Average Many spelling and punctuation errors. Students did not use much descriptive detail when describing their insect's life cycle.	Average Students have few spelling and punctuation errors. Students also met all requirements for the story.	Above Average No spelling or punctuation errors. The students uses imagery to describe their insect's life cycle. The student also goes above and beyond the requirements for their story.
