Skit Peformance Rubric
This rubric is designed for a Spanish 4-Honors. Cesar Chavez and watch the Cesar Chavez movie, they write and perform a skit recreating one of the scenes. Students can create a video or perform it in class. Students should show correct grammar usage, proper pronunciation, creativity and great effort.

Student presented a below average demonstration of Spanish fluency. Student stumbled over words and missed or confused lines multiple times.

Student presented an average demonstration of Spanish fluency. Student stumbled over words and missed or confused lines more than 3 times.
Good
Student presented an average demonstration of Spanish fluency. Student stumbled over words at times and confused lines two or less times.
Excellent
Student presented an average to above average performance. Student had few to no issues with fluency.
Effort and Attitude
Poor
The student put little to no effort into the skit and the group grade suffered because of attitude.
Fair
The student could have done more to contribute and/or was not showing enthusiasm in front of the class.
Good
The student could have done more to contribute and/or, however was showing enthusiasm in front of the class.
Excellent
The student was excited and ready to present with a smile! The group benefited from this member!
Time (1 minute)
Poor
The presentation was less than 30 seconds long and/or not much dialogue was used.
Fair
The presentation was 30 - 44 seconds long and/or there was very little dialogue. Much time was used without dialogue.
Good
The presentation was within 45 - 59 seconds long and/or there was some poor use of time.
Excellent
The presentation was 1 or more minutes long and there was sufficient dialogue during this time.
Creativity
Poor
The students presented little creativity in their skit.Students worked together poorly, skit was late, preparation was unorganized, and/or took away from the overall quality of the work. Scene was difficult to associate to that of the movie.
Fair
The student's presentation was a little creative, room for improvement.
Students worked together , skit was on time, preparation was unorganized, and/or took away from the overall quality of the work. Scene was somewhat similar to movie.
Good
The student's presentation was creative and unique, however had room for improvement.
Students worked together with little or no problems, skit was on time, and/or organization was lacking but acceptable. Scene was similar to movie.
Excellent
The student's work was very creative and unique! The scene was very similar to the scene in the movie.

Did not work well within his/her group, and did not bring ideas to their group. In video/presentation, group members don't have sufficient dialogue and/or speak as much as other members.

Not all group member's participated according to the task. In video/presentation, group members don't have sufficient dialogue and don't speak as much as other members.
Good
All group member's fully participated, however, there's room for improvement. In video/presentation, group members have some dialogue and speak almost as much as other members.
Excellent
All group member's fully participated and brought ideas to their group. In video/presentation, group members have sufficient dialogue and speak as much or more than other members.
PowerPoint/Poster presentation

Students were not informative about Cesar Chavez the man, his purpose and did not indicate ways which he is honored/remembered. There were few pictures and some examples. Many elements were missing.
