Body position

Student must have elbows and back against the wall to keep back straight and focus on bicep.

One

Student is not standing against the wall and is swinging arms.
Two

Student has back against the wall, but doesn't have elbows against the wall.
Three

Student has back and elbows against the wall, but does not consistently keep them there.
Four

Student keeps back and elbow against the wall consistently throughout repetitions.
Palms Forward

When performing arm curls, the palms face forward.

One

Student is holding weights in the palm, but the palms are facing backwards during the curls.
Two

Student is holding weights in the palm, but the palms are facing sideways during the curls.
Three

Student is holding weights in the palm, but the palms are facing forward during the curls, but it is not consistent.
Four

Student is holding weights in the palm, and the palms are facing forwards consistently during the curls.
Full Extension

When performing the arm curl, the arm should be fully extended when down and go up to where the bicep touches the forearm.

One

Student does not start arm curl with arms straight and does not fully go up.
Two

Student fully extends arms on the way down, but does not go all the way up to where forearm touches bicep.
Three

Student fully extends arms on the way down and goes all the way up to where forearm touches bicep, but does not do this consistently.
Four

Student fully extends arms on the way down, and goes all the way up to where forearm touches the bicep on a consistent basis and maintains a steady rate of speed.
