Character Switch Rubric If you could change places with one character, who would it be and why? Your explaination should be at least 3/4 to one page in length. Remember to describe the character(using examples from the book) and the situation well because your audience may not have read the book. Give Evidence--examples of things the character has done or said that supports your description and decision to switch with that character. Character Description	Poor Character description has hardly any detail at all. You barely feel like you know/understand the character and why you would want to switch with them.	Fair Character description could use more detail. You know this is a character from the book but you don't really get a great idea of who the are or why a switch would be desired.	Good Character description is pretty detailed. You get a pretty good sense of who the character is. Writer briefly touches on why they would like to switch with the character	Exellent Character descrition is greatly detailed (with a lot of sensory words) and you get a clear sense of who the character is. Writer thoroughly describes why he/she would want to switch places with the character.
Conventions	Poor Description contains several errors in grammar, spelling, and/or mechanics.	Fair Description contains some errors in grammar, spelling, and/or mechanics.	Good Description contains few errors in grammar, spelling, and/or mechanics.	Exellent Description contains few to no errors in grammar, spelling, and/or mechanics.
Length of Writing	Poor Description is less than 1/2 page in length written out.	Fair Description is 1/2 to 3/4 page in length written out.	Good Description is 3/4 to one page in length written out.	Exellent Description is one page in length written out.
