Gridded Self-Portrait Painting Students will take a self-portrait photograph, use the ToonFB app to divide the photo into areas of light, medium and dark value, and print the photo. They will place a grid over the photo, create a grid on larger paper and carefully draw a "map" of the shapes and forms of their portrait. Next, using white and black paint, they will mix light, medium and dark values of paint (with the option of an added color) and paint this "map" of their face in values.
