Spanish 3 - Story retelling Spanish 3 - Story retelling Students are to read a Spanish short story or fable and prepare storyboards as their only notes. Students will orally retell the story using assigned vocabulary. Any new words to be put on the board. Students to be graded on both speaking and correct story presentation. Story Board Create a Story board showing the important events of story with caption for each story frame. (Include an introduction and conclusion.)
	Poor Story board is not clear and sequential and/or is incomplete. 1 pts	Fair Story board is clear and sequential but many important details missing. 2 pts	Good Story board is clear, complete and detailed. 3 pts
Retelling of Story Explain the events pictured on the story board to retell the story in Spanish.	Poor Retelling is not correct, clear and a sequential presentation of story events with an introduction, middle, and conclusion.	Fair Retelling is correct, but important details are missing.	Good Retelling is accurate, clear with good introduction, middle and end.
Vocabulary Vocabulary presentation should be made prior to retelling the story(on the board or on a poster or handout). All words assigned by teacher should be defined for the class as well as any new words used in the retelling that are necessary for class comprehension.	Poor Does not define assigned vocabulary for the class in an appropriate manner and/or does not add any other helpful vocabulary.<BR> OR<BR> there are many errors in definitions.	Fair Defines some but not all words necessary/or there are errors in definition.	Good All assigned vocabulary correctly defined; and other helpful vocabulary correctly defined.
Pronunciation Every member of the group must speak at least three sentences.	Poor Diffictult to understand for even patient native speaker	Fair Understandable to a patient native speaker	Good Undertstandable to a native speaker unfamiliar with English
Grammar Use imperfect and preterite tenses whenever telling past events.	Poor Many errors in verb tense use and formations or in subject/verb agreement or in noun/adjective agreement.
