Narrative meaninfully relfects on the way in which a person has influenced identity/personality, but does not center on a specific moment.

Narrative does not show meaninful connection between an influential person and personality/identity.
D
Seemingly random choice of moment or person. No evidence of reflection.

Style and word choice
A
Narrative uses well-placed, clear and interesting imagery and/or dialogue to capture the reader's attention. Diction is vivid and highly effective.
B
Narrative uses some effective imagery or dialogue, but parts are weak. Most of the diction is vivid and effective, but some parts could be improved on.
C
Narrative contains imagery and dialogue, but it is ineffective. Diction is not vivid.
D
Narrative contains little to no imagery or dialogue. Diction is confusing, vague, or dull.

Organization
A
The sequence of events and placement of reflection enhances understanding and effect. Author clearly put thought into organization.

Narrative contains many errors. The amount and/or type of errors greatly distract the reader and make the story difficult to understand.
