	Weak 5 pts	Fair 10 pts	Good 15 pts	Excellent 20 pts
Preparation	Weak Student is obviously unprepared for the task. No evidence of any rehearsals. Dressed inappropriately.	Fair Student is not well prepared and would benefit from many more rehearsals.	Good Student is prepared but the presentation of the monologue requires a few more rehearsals.	Excellent Student is well prepared and it is obvious that the monologue has been reheared thoroughly. Dressed appropriately.
Memorization	Weak The student has not memorized the piece.	Fair The student has memorized entire monologue and is able to present, however makes three+ errors and doesn't recover.	Good The student has memorized entire monologue and is able to present with just one error from which h/she recovers.	Excellent The student has memorized the entire monologueand is able to present it without error.
