Drawings must have realistic proportions, demonstrate a value scale, show color contrast between the subject and the background, exhibit good use of color media, and must display good work ethic and use of studio time. Use of Line & Shape Flower/Skull is in realistic proportion and details are accurately drawn.	Excellent Drawing reflects excellent observation, realistic proportion and accurate contour edges. Details are well defined.	Strong Careful observation is reflected in the drawing with good proportion and contour edges. Good attention to details.	Good Average accuracy in observation, proportion, contour edges and shapes. Some details are missing.	Moderate Drawing has not been planned and/or lacks accuracy in proportion. Shapes are indicated but not sized or placed accurately.	Weak Drawing is inaccurate in regard to realistic proportion, size, and shape, and/or incomplete.	Poor Project was not turned in.
Use of Color & Shading Color scheme was planned creating contrast between the object and the background.	Excellent Excellent use of color. Color scheme was planned to create a striking difference between the object and background.	Strong Good color scheme was used to create a strong difference between the object and the background.	Good Color scheme is average. Different color choices could have been used to create a stronger artwork.	Moderate Poor color selection. It is sometimes difficult to see differences in the object and the background.	Weak No evidence of planning a color scheme. Use of color is distracting or inappropriate for the project. Strong Work is strongly crafted and condition is clean, neat, with strong use of color that does not distract from the detail of the drawing.	Good Craftsmanship is good but color is not as refined and controlled as possible. Color does not enhance the drawing.	Moderate Drawing lacks neatness and has not been thoroughly cleaned-up. Color is moderately applied.	Weak Drawing is poorly crafted and messy. Drawing has not been cleaned-up and demonstrates poor control of the art media.	Poor Project was not turned in.
