Presence of clear introduction, body and conclusion; points basically effective and appropriate. Point of view consistent. Includes some prewriting, drafts, peer review sheets, and rubric.
Fair
Loosely developed, doesn’t go much beyond standard “five paragraph” structure. Choppy point of view. Points rather basic, not convincing. Contains little prewriting, drafts, peer review sheets, and rubric.
Poor
Lack of logical organization. Not a “smooth” read. Minimal effort displayed. Short. Little to no paragraph development. Perhaps unclear or shifting point of view. Contains little to no prewriting, drafts, peer review sheets, and rubric and has no evidence of a writing process.
