Un Sketch français 
In groups, students create a skit that takes place in France in a location of their choosing. Students should use props and must memorize their lines.

All of the content requirements were met. Each student has a minimum of 6 complete sentences. There were two scenes in the presentation.

Almost all (about 90%) of the content requirements were met. There were two scenes. Almost all lines evenly divided.

Most (about 75%) of the content requirements were met. One or two students carry the conversation. Lines not evenly divided.

Excellent

Utilizes a wide variety of vocabulary from current and previously learned units. Does not include vocabulary not yet learned. Students take risk in forming longer sentences.

Speaks clearly and distinctly most of the time with no more than one unnatural pause or distraction. Most lines were not memorized taking away from the authenticity of the script. Difficult to hear at times.
Poor

Often mumbles and cannot be understood OR has multiple distractions and unnatural pauses. NO lines were memorized making the script seem unreal. Difficult to hear.
Preparedness

Excellent

Group is completely prepared and has obviously rehearsed.
All lines were memorized which added to the authenticity of the script.
Good

Group seems pretty prepared but might have needed a couple more rehearsals. Most lines were memorized which added to the authencity of the script.
Fair

The group is somewhat prepared, but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking.
Many lines were not memorized which detracted from the authenticity of the script.
Poor

Group does not seem at all prepared to present. Few lines were memorized which detracted from the authenticity of the script.
Imagination

Excellent

Within the confines of the limited vocabulary that we have studied, students produced a sketch with great imagination, which was quite entertaining.
Good

Within the confines of students' limited vocabulary, the sketch was somewhat imaginative and entertaining.
Fair

Students' sketch was not very imaginative or entertaining and followed a predictable pattern.
Poor

Students' sketch was not at all imaginative, and the audience showed little reaction or enthusiasm.
