Chorus Rehearsal/Concert Performance Rubric- All grades Chorus Rehearsal/Concert Performance Rubric- All grades This rubric is used to grade students' rehearsal performance as well as Concerts and NYSSMA Majors. Readiness	Superior Is prompt, goes directly to assigned place and is prepared to listen, respond and sing. Always remains quiet and attentive before and after singing.	Good Sometimes goes directly to assigned place and is prepared to listen, respond and sing. Usually remains quiet and attentive before and after singing.	Needs Improvement Always needs reminders to go directly to assigned place and prepare to listen, respond and sing. Rarely is attentive when not singing
Follows rules/procedures	Superior Never engages in gum chewing,grooming, talking or other behavior that disrupts his/her or the group's learning process.	Good Occaisonally engages in gum chewing,grooming, talking or other behavior that disrupts his/her or the group's learning process.	Needs Improvement Usually engages in gum chewing,grooming, talking or other behavior that disrupts his/her or the group's learning process.
Participation/Group work	Superior Always sings and listens appropriately, working with his/her section as a leader or follower. Often asks musical questions relating to the task at hand.	Good Generally sings and listens appropriately with noticeable off-task inconsistancies. Rarely asks questions relating to the task at hand. Often follows others in his/her section.	Needs Improvement Never sings and listens appropriately and cooperates with his/her section as a leader or follower. Always seems distracted/preoccupied and off task.
General learning attitude	Superior Exhibits an extremely conscientious and spirited desire to learn the material and clearly progresses in skills.
