Introduction/transition	Poor More than two required elements missing.	Fair Introduction included title of selection, author, and synopsis /trailer. No clear theme is communicated. Transition did not tie the two pieces to together.	Good Introduction included title of selection, author, theme, and synopsis/ trailer but lacked creativity in presentation. Transition was included, however theme wasn't clear.	Excellent Introduction included title of selection, author, theme, and synopsis/ trailer. Transition tied the theme and two pieces together. Word choices and creativity were superior.
Poise/preparation	Poor Missing more than one element.	Fair Missing a required element, but mostly complete.	Good Piece was typed/written with intro. & transitions. Needed more practice.	Excellent Piece was typed/written with intro. & transitions. Practice was evident.
