Poster and Presentation in World History 
Groups of four students work collaboratively to design a poster based upon their understanding of the European colonization of the African continent. Each group is responsible for two maps of African (the first of 1850 and the second of 1914) depicting the trend of colonization throughout the continent during the era of the "New" Imperialism: 1885-1914. Additionally, the group will be responsible for developing a newspaper article (one page in length) describing the Europeans' arrival to their country, and the effect that their presence is having on their native culture.
