Use of class time	Excellent Used time well during each class period. Focused on getting the project done by the deadline.	Good Used most of time each class period. there was some focus on getting the project done but was occasionally distracted.	Average Used some of time each class period. Was occasionally distracted.	Poor Did not use class time very well to focus on project or was distracted by others.
Graphics Clarity	Excellent Graphics / Text used are high quality and related to the total design.	Good Graphics / text are of high quality but could've been used more clearly.	Average Graphics / text are of okay quality but could've been used more clearly and planned better.	Poor Graphics / text are of poor quality and fail to convey meaning of project or maybe poorly organized/cluttered.
Creativity / Attractiveness	Excellent The graphics and text used on the design of this project reflect an exceptional degree of student creativity and is attractive in terms of design, layout, neatness, rhythm, etc.	Good The graphics and text used on the project have creativity and attractiveness demonstrating an understanding of design tools but could've been planned better.	Average The graphics and text used by the student are not original, relied to much on ideas taken from other sources or student may not demonstrate clear understanding of layout.	Poor Graphics and text do not demonstrate any original thought or creativity or maybe poorly organized/cluttered.
Final Composite	Excellent Final composite looks like a real postcard, as if it were created that way by a professional.	Good Student followed proper steps and used proper tools. Postcard may be acceptable to show a client for a rough draft idea, but needs a little bit of tweaking.	Average Student used proper tools but quality is poor and needs work.	Poor Did not follow steps or use proper tools. Quality is unacceptable.
