The student can use some verb tenses but there are many errors. The errors affect the reader's understanding.

The student can use commands with some errors. The student attempts to incorporate other tenses, although they may not always be used correctly.
Good

The student can use the tenses with few errors. The student can also incorporate other tenses such as the preterite, present, and/or present progressive.
Excellent

The student can use tenses with no errors. The student can also incorporate other tenses such as the preterite, present, and/or present progressive in appropriate situations.
Dialogue Basics

Poor

The elements of dialogue are not present. Writing is not legible, basic grammar and vocabulary are used poorly.
Fair

Lest than 50% of the elements of a dialogue are present. Writing is not always legible, basic grammar and vocabulary are not used very well.
Average

50% of the elements of a dialogue are present. Writing is mostly legible, basic grammar and vocabulary are used but there are some errors.
Good

80% of the elements of a dialogue are present. There is a flow with a sense of a beginning, middle, and end. Writing is almost all legible, basic grammar and vocabulary are well used.

All the elements of a dialogue are present and a flow with a definite beginning, middle, and end. Writing is legible, basic grammar and vocabulary are well used.
