Creativity	Excellent 3 Student created an interesting and unique Op Art design.	Good 2 Student's design is somewhat interesting and unique, however, it may not be Op Art inspired.	Poor 1 Student did not finish the project and/or his/her design is not Op Art inspired.
Use of Elements and Principles	Excellent 3 Student successfully executed a design that uses line and color (black and white) to convey movement and rhythm.	Good 2 Student completed a design that shows some use of line and color (black and white) to convey movement and rhythm.	Poor 1 Student did not complete a design and/or did not use line or color (black and white) in their design.
Materials	Excellent 3 Student successfully used materials (sharpie, ruler, etc.) to complete their Op Art design.	Good 2 Student used the materials (sharpie, ruler, etc.) fairly well to convey their ideas.	Poor 1 Student failed to use the materials (sharpie, ruler, etc.) successfully.
Craftsmanship	Excellent 3 Student exhibited excellent craftsmanship. Design is neat, clean, and complete.	Good 2 Student exhibited good craftsmanship. Effort	Excellent 3 The student gave an effort far beyond the requirements of the project.	Good 2 The student finished the project but it lacked finishing touches. The project could be improved upon with little effort.	Poor 1 The student did not finish the work.
