Musical Composition 
Students will use common rhythms and simple melodic gestures to compose a 8-16 measure composition in either 3/4 or 4/4 time. Students will have numerous class periods to complete the assignment. Students will also turn in a self reflection describing the cognitive process they used in developing their composition.
