Basic Stamp Project 
This rubric is for use with a project using the Basic Stamp microprocessor and Basic Stamp software. It is designed to be a three to four week program.

Basic design, at least two requirements are present. Not updated.

Design is mostly complete, at least 3 requirements are present some updates, but not current.
Great

Design is complex, includes flow chart, and timeline. Goals and written description of project are present. Schematics exist and are readable. Design has been updated to represent final project, and all versions are included.
Hardware

The hardware part of the project includes building the microprocessor. this portion of the rubric reflects whether only the hardware works correctly.
Poor

Project is not built.
Fair

Project is built, but hardware is put together correctly, doesn't work.
Good

Project is built, hardware is mostly correct. Works, but does not match design.
Great

Hardware is correctly built to design specifications.
Program

This is the software component of this project. Students will code a program to control microprocessor. This rubric component is only concerned with how well program is written.
Poor

Program not written.
Fair

Program written, does not compile or load. Little or no documentation.
Good

Program is written, compiles and loads, does not run correctly. Some documentation done.
Great

Program is written well, compiles and loads, runs as designed, all documentation is complete.
Project Management

Project management refers to how well the project organized, as well as how well it followed specific goals and timelines.
Poor

No project management present. Goals not met. No write up present.
Fair

Project had some tasks identified, more than one person was assigned specific jobs. Some tasks were completed. Some goals were met. Finished some tasks on time. No write up present.
Good

Most tasks were identified and assigned. Most tasks were completed as designed. One or two goals or time frames were not met. Project write up was complete.
Great

Tasks were identified and assigned to members. Each task was completed appropriately according to design and timeline. Original goals were met.
Project write up was complete.
Team Work

This component represents how well the team worked together.
Poor

Very little team work was observed, and project was not entirely completed.
Fair

Some team work was observed. Most of the work was completed by one project member. Almost completed project.
Good

Group did very well working as a group, work was well divided. However project was not completed in the time frame.
Great

All group members shared work equally. Work was entirely completed according to deadlines.
Personal Reflection/Individual

This component represents the portion of the grade on an individual basis.
Poor

No personal reflection done. Little work completed on project
Fair

Short paragraph only addressed one or two required components. Completed some assigned tasks.
Good

Personal reflection was well written all components were present. Did not complete all assigned tasks.
Great

Personal reflection was well written with all required components. Individual work was completed as assigned.
