Short stride
Wide stride (student runs with feet wider than shoulder width apart)

Arms in opposition to the legs
Elbows bent not quite 90 degrees; partially extended during the run
Upper body with slight forward lean for momentum

Arms in complete opposition to legs
Upper body with necessary forward lean
Complete elbow extension
