Student proactively contributes to class activities by offering ideas, asking questions, and taking notes. Student shows constant engagement.
Good
Students is mostly engaged - contributes to activities but can sometimes get distracted.
Opportunity to Improve
Student is engaged part of the class and disengaged at other times.
Unsatisfactory
Students has a hard time staying engaged in lessons and proactively distracts others.
Listening Skills
Exemplary
Student respectfully listens when others talk and responds appropriately.
Good
Student respectfully listens when others talk.
Opportunity to Improve
Student often does not listen when others talk, and sometimes disrupts the person speaking.
Unsatisfactory
Student rarely listens when others are speaking, and constantly speaks out of turn.
Behavior
Exemplary
Student consistently shows responsibility and respect and does not display disruptive behavior.
Good
Student mostly shows responsibility and respect and rarely displays disruptive behavior.
Opportunity to Improve
Student occasionally shows responsibility and respect, and occasionally displays disruptive behavior.
Unsatisfactory
Student does not behave with respect for others or responsibility for self. Student consistently disrupts class.
Attendance
Exemplary
Student is rarely absent or tardy. When the student does miss class, he/she responsibly makes up work.
Good
Student is late or absent once in a while, and needs to be more responsible for completing missed work.
Opportunity to Improve
Student is tardy and absent so much so that it disrupts progress in class. Student struggles to keep up with work.
Unsatisfactory
Student is regularly late and/or misses class. Student fails to keep up with classwork.
