Orchestra
	Great 40 pts	Acceptable 30 pts	OK 20 pts	Not OK 10 pts
Bowing	Great full bow used, relaxed wrist, relaxed elbow, bow parallel to bridge	Acceptable most of the bow used, wrist a little stiff, elbow a little stiff, bow not quite straight	OK middle of the bow used, stiff wrist and thumb, stiff elbow, bow not parallel to bridge	Not OK very small part of middle of the bow used, bow arm stiff, hardly moving, sqeaky sound, not enough contact of bow on string
Intonation	Great whole piece in tune fingers on very tips open left hand correct half and whole steps	Acceptable slight mistakes in tuning fingers on tips left hand not quite open half steps out of tune mistakes quickly corrected	OK certain notes always out of tune closed wrist keeps fingers from being on their tips only fixes obviously wrong notes	Not OK wrong and out of tune notes collapsed wrist, fingers can't move quickly piece is not recognizable

Posture	Great straight back away from chair BOTH feel on the floor instrument supported and balanced elbow matches level of strings	Acceptable back straight but leaning back feet not planted on floor droopy instrument, not balanced elbows not quite in line with strings	OK sitting far back in chair feet crossed, wrapped aroung chair legs droopy instrument balance way far back elbow too low for strings	Not OK instrument supported by hands or stomach feet crossed or stretched out in front instrument supported by hands and stomach balance is gone elbows glued to thighs
