Art 1: Organic Color Wheel Rubric Color Wheel Rubric After a review of the color wheel by the teacher, the student will create and organic shaped color wheel on paper. The student will correctly mix and paint the correct colors on the color wheel in the correct position. The student will also paint an area of the design, as instructed, with the complementary color. Good The color wheel is well drawn and represents an organic shape with the correct number of spaces for the colors and includes area for complimentary colors	Average The color wheel is drawn in an organic shape, but does not follow the directions given for the complementary colors.	Fair The color wheel is poorly drawn and does not follow the instructions given for the design and colors.	Poor The color wheel is not an organic shape and does not follow the instructions given for the design.
Primary Colors and Secondary Colors	Excellent Primary colors and secondary colors have been exceptionally well-organized and painted in their correct space.	Good Primary colors and secondary colors have been organized and painted in the correct order.	Average Primary colors and secondary colors have been painted, but not organized on the color wheel.	Fair Some primary colors and secondary colors have been painted, but not in the correct place on the color wheel	Poor Primary colors and secondary colors have not been painted or placed on the color wheel.
Complimentary Colors	Excellent Complimentary colors have been exceptionally well-organized and placed correctly on the color wheel, according to instructions given.	Good Complimentary colors have been organized and placed on the color wheel.	Average Complimentary colors have been placed on the color wheel, but not following placement directions.	Fair Complimentary colors have been placed on the color wheel, but not correctly.	Poor Complimentary colors do not appear on the color wheel.
