Construction
Excellent
Used more than one wire to create the piece. Attached all pieces well. The wire held the intended shape well. Wire piece stands on its own very well and is well balanced.
Good
Used one piece or minimal wire connections. Wire held the intended shape pretty well. Wire piece stands on its own, but has some wobble.
Fair
The construction has some misshape and dents to it. Connections (if any) are not done very well. Stands on its own, but is leading and very unbalanced.
Needs Improvement
Overall construction has a lot of flaws that are visible. It is difficult to make out the sculpture and it doesn’t stand on its own without additional support.
Material usage
Excellent
The sculpture uses at least two different types of materials (one being wire). The additional material is very fitting to the artist’s idea.
Good
The sculpture uses both materials, but the additional material was used sparingly in the art.
Fair
The sculpture has both materials, but the additional material was used very little and doesn’t hold its purpose very well.
Needs Improvement
Both materials were used, but they do not compliment each other and the other material was used very little. The additional choice was confusing towards the artist’s original idea.
Environment/Installation
Excellent
The artist went beyond the additional setup and thought outside the box. The artist incorporated additional items to incompass an environment for their tree.
Good
The artist created an attractive installation for their piece in the showcase, but did not go above and beyon for the installation with adding additional pieces. The tree has some additional environmental pieces, but very few.
Fair
The piece was setup without much thought, but is in the showcase safe and sound over the material.
Needs Improvement
The piece is in the showcase, but the material took over the piece and it was done messy.
Creativity
I will be searching internet.
Excellent
Artist thought outside of the box and came up with their own ideas. Artist did not mock another artist’s images via internet and photo. Artist was COMPLETELY original.
Good
Artist used photos as reference but came up with own ideas and sketches.
Fair
Artist relied to much on other photos and other artists’ work.
Needs Improvement
Mostly copied ideas.
Craftmanship
Excellent
Art is very clean and clear to viewers. A lot of time was spent to create positive craftmanship and attention to detail.
Good
Art is semi clean and clear. The art’s image gets a little lost with the construction of the piece. But overall, time was spent well and craftmanship and attention to detail is pretty good.
Fair
Art has a some issues, the imagery gets confusing due to time put into the craftmanship and attention to detail.
Needs Improvement
Art has a lot of issues and the imagery is hard to make up due to craftmanship and attention to detail.
