Needs improvement
It is not evident that any thought and/or consideration was given to the placement and shapes of rectangles, leaves, wind pieces, border pieces and overall placement of work on big construction paper and the overall effect was very poor.
Satisfactory
Limited thought and/or consideration was given to the placement and shapes of rectangles, leaves, wind pieces, border pieces and overall placement of work on big construction paper and the overall effect is less than average.
Good

Color
Needs improvement
Colours were chosen with little apparent thought to contrast, complement or harmony. Overall the piece is dull and does not entice one to look at it.
Satisfactory
Some colours are chosen that contrast and/or complement one another. Overall the piece is somewhat dull and could use some more contrast and/or harmony.
Good
Colours are chosen that contrast, complement and/or are harmonious with one another and make for a piece of art that is somewhat pleasing to the eye.
Excellent
Colours are chosen that contrast, complement and/or are harmonious in an exceptional manner and make for a piece of art that is extremely pleasing to the eye.
Following of Instructions
Needs improvement
Students overlapped less than 6 colors (some the same)of rectangles onto black paper. They created 2 organic leaf shapes and less than 3 organic wind-like shapes and glued them in an arrangement on top of the rectangles. They made long, curvy strips and glued them around the border of their work. They glued the whole thing onto a large piece of construction paper in a haphazard manner
Satisfactory

They made long, curvy strips and glued them around the border of their work. They glued the whole thing onto a large piece of construction paper in a haphazard manner.
Good
