Poster and presentation rubric
The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will contain information that the students collected regarding the theme, motif and symbol from the novel Of Mice and Men. The group presentation must be aligned with the poster.

Does not have all of the relevant information of the project. Sources and information are not used in an effective manner, or there is not enough information presented. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion

The project is lacking in elements required and in resources used. There are many gaps in information presented.
Motif
Excellent
The project includes all information relevant to the CLEAR motif students have chosen in an organized fashion and includes effective use of sources. They must have fully analysed and explained the meaning and significance of their chosen motif and strongly connects this to the novel.

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that learners are proud of their work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learners.

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learners ares capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.

The poster has an element of creativity and style,, and is not just a list of facts. The poster is presented in a clear and concise manner with full understanding of the subject.

The poster is clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes. Good clear presentation.

The poster lacks style and reads more like a list of facts than an oral group presentation. The poster lacks neatness and clarity
Poor
The poster lacks a clear understanding of the subject matter and their are many errors. Poster is not creative.
Presentation
Excellent
The team works together with fluency, fairness and unity. Each member speaks clearly and puts their information with complete understanding of their information.It is evident that the team has prepared what they will say.
Good
The team works together. The group members speak clearly and each member presents good amount of the information expected.
Fair
There are several confusing moments among the group and the information presented is not completed relayed during the presentation. The group has not practiced together to prepare.
Poor
The group is unprepared to work as a team. No preparation was done for the presentation and the information that is presented lacks many elements of what is expected.
