Below Average Paragraph has less than 3 complete sentences.	Poor Response has not been completed at all.
Sentence Structure	Above Average Student uses proper sentence form and writes quality sentences.	Average The student makes a few errors in capitalization or punctuation.	Below Average The student makes numerous errors in capitalization or punctuation. Sentences show weak structure.	Poor Poor use of capitalization and/or punctuation. Sentences not used.
Content	Above Average Response is fully developed and strongly on-topic. They reflect the students ideas and/or opinions in a well thought-out paragraph.	Average Responses are acceptably developed and remain on-topic for the most part. Student has put some thoughts or ideas into the paragraph.
