Colour Wheel Rubric 
After a review of the colour wheel by the teacher, the student will create a circular shaped colour wheel on paper. The student will correctly mix and paint the correct primary and secondary colours on the colour wheel in the correct position. The student will then use use the colour wheel and the three primary paint colours to reproduce an image.

Primary and secondary colours have been painted, but not organized on the colour wheel. Colours have been mixed, but are not true to their hue.
Level 1

Some primary and secondary colours have been painted, but not in the correct place on the color wheel. Colours have not been mixed correctly.
Craftmanship

Level 4

Colours have been exceptionally well-organized and cleanly painted on the colour wheel, according to instructions given.
Level 3

Colours have been well-organized and cleanly painted on the colour wheel, according to instructions given.
Level 2

Colours have been somewhat well-organized and cleanly painted on the colour wheel, according to instructions given.
Level 1

Colours have been placed on the colour wheel, but craftsmanship needs improvement.
Use of the colour wheel

Student will use the colour wheel to recreate the colours in a provided image. Students will only be given the three primary colours

Level 4

Colours have been exceptionally mixed and very closely match the colours in the image.
Level 3

Colours have been well mixed and closely match the colours in the image.
Level 2

Colours have been somewhat well mixed and are the same hue as the colours in the image.
Level 1

Colours are from the colour wheel, but do not relate to the image.
