Sentence Length Variety	Poor No obvious intentional use of variety in sentence length, beginnings, or subjects.	Fair Clearly used short sentences for impact but not frequently enough. Some sentences seem to be saying the same thing.	Good Sentences begin in a variety of ways. Both passive and active sentences used. Impactful use of short sentences.
Specific details, imagery	Poor Very few details or very simple, unhelpful details.	Fair Some details, not always very specific, that clearly tell about what is being described. Some details of characters	Good Many specific details that tell a lot about what they are describing. Causes reader to picture scene and characters.
Double Meanings	Poor No connection to how you were impacted by the things you carry	Fair Idea of impact mentioned to some degree on 1 or 2 things you carry	Good Creative, original way of conveying deeper meaning to the things you carry on more than 2 items.
Repetition	Poor No obvious attempt made to repeat a phrase or image	Fair Repetition is apparent in 1 or 2 places	Good Repetition is used well for effect in more than 2 places.
Conventions	Poor Many errors distract the reader from the story	Fair Several errors need to be corrected, including formatting dialogue, paragraphing.	Good Few errors exist<BR> Dialogue is formatted correctly.
