Completion / Content	Poor Story ending / illustration is incomplete	Fair Completes story ending OR illustration but not both.	Good Completes a one-page or longer story ending and illustration.
Effort	Poor Lacks effort overall. May be sloppy/illegible.	Fair Lacks effort on story/illustration	Good Story ending and illstration are creative and interesting.
Mechanics	Poor Extensive errors hinder communication	Fair Contains mistakes that do not effect reader's ability to enjoy.	Good Excellent grammar and mechanics.
