Organization Details are organized into a logical sequence with a clear beginning, middle and end.	Poor Student's writing lacks organization. There is no evidence of a clear beginning, middle and end.	Fair Student's writing has some organization. Elements of a clear beginning, middle or end are missing.	Good Student's writing is organized and has a clear beginning, middle and end.
Comprehension The student will identify supporting information from their reading to support their own writing.	Poor Student was unable to identify details in the story to support their own writing.	Fair Student was able to identify one or two details from the story to support their own writing.	Good Student included three or more details from the story to support their own writing.
