My name is... Students properly state "My name is..." Me llamo...	Poor Improper statement, or none at all.	Good Proper statement, poor pronunciation, or Improper statement, but good effort and pronunciation.	Exceptional Proper introduction with near-perfect pronunciation.
What is your name? Students ask question, "Como te llamas?	Poor Improper statement, or none at all.	Good Proper description, poor pronunciation, or Improper description, but good effort and pronunciation.	Exceptional Proper self-description with near-perfect pronunciation. More than one accurate characteristic.
Inquiry - How are you doing? Students inquire of the other person, How are you? "Como estas?"	Poor Improper statement, or none at all.	Good Students inquire of the other person, How are you? Or What are you like? With acceptable-poor pronunciation.	Exceptional Students inquire of the other person, How are you? Or What are you like? With good pronunciation and genuine interest.
Response to Inquiry about self I am fine..."Estoy bien"	Poor Improper statement, or none at all.	Good Student answers how they feel, acceptable pronunciation.	Exceptional Student answers how they feel, with good pronunciation and genuine interest.
Goodbye Student properly says goodbye, good day, see you later, etc.	Poor Improper statement or none at all.	Good Student has proper time and pronunciation to say goodbye. "Buenas Tardes, Adios, etc."	Exceptional Student says goodbye with near-perfect pronunciation and adds another proper "despedido." ex: Hasta Luego, Nos Vemos, etc.
