Good Good discussion of devices found in the song/poem and correctly uses terms learned in class. Some devices missed.	Excellent Thorough discussion of all examples of devices used in the song/poem and correctly uses terms learned in class.
Choice and Meaning	Fair Student provides an interpretation only partially (80% or less) supported by poetic devices in the lyrics.	Good Student provides an interpretation which is 90% supported by the poetic devices in the lyrics.	Excellent Student speculates on how devices contribute to the meaning and theme of the song/poem, providing a well-supported interpretation.
Presentation Skills/Organization	Fair Student's choice of song/poem is not suitable, or produces a presentation which is lacking in organization, audience engagement, and/or presentation skills.	Good Student's choice of song or poem does not contain rich poetic devices or meaning to discuss. Student produced a presentation which shows some organization and engages the audience 80% of the time. Student demonstrates good presentation skills.	Excellent Student's chose a suitable song/poem which produced an engaging and well-organized presentation, demonstrating excellent presentation skills.
