	Weak 1-25% of writing sample 1 pts	Poor 26 50% of writing sample 2 pts	Fair 51 - 75% of writing sample 3 pts	Good 76-90% of writing sample 4 pts	Outstanding 91-100% of writing sample 5 pts
Line Usage Assessment of letter placement on line: floating letters, P vs p, etc.	Weak Many errors in line usage.	Poor Some errors in line usage.	Fair Few errors using lines correctly.	Good Uses lines correctly most of the time.	Outstanding Always uses lines correctly.
Spacing Assessment of spacing between letters and/or words	Weak Many errors in spacing.	Poor Some errors in spacing.	Fair Few errors, using spacing correctly.	Good Uses proper spacing most of the time.	Outstanding Always uses proper spacing.
