The student usually plays with a steady beat and consistant rhythm, with occasional guidance from the teacher. The student demonstrates fair ability to maintain his/her rhythm with independence from other parts.
Good

The student demonstrates ability to play with a steady and consistent rhythm without the guidance from the teacher. The student can maintain his/her rhythms with independence from other parts.
Collaboration

Poor

The student does not work well with the group, is distracted, and talks frequently. He/she does not contribute to the creativity of the group. He/she needed constant reminders from the teacher to stay on task.
Fair

The student works well with the group, but needs occsional reminders from the teacher to stay on-task. He/she demonstrates some effort to creatively contribute to the group.
Good

The student worked very well with the group using his/her time with maximim efficiency. He/she put forth effort and made creative contributions to the group. He/she was positive, kind and enthusiastic.
