Position and Main Ideas	Poor Does not restate position by reminding reader of your topic and purpose	Fair Restates position by reminding reader of your topic, but not purpose.	Good restates position by reminding reader of purpose of writng but not topic.	Excellent Clearly restates position by reminding reader of your topic and purpose.
Coherence and Transitions	Poor Sentences are too basic and lack transitions. The sentences are not coherent. Voice is absent.	Fair Sentences are weak because they do not provide continuity, but there is one transitional phrase used. Voice is weak.	Good Sentences are coherent because the student used transitions. Conclusion is lacking voice.	Excellent Sentences are strong and coherent because they have voice, and transitions to allow continuity throughout the conclusion.
