Identifying Characters	Poor -Not being able to distinguish the main character from the other characters.	Fair - Being able to recognize some characters and their roles.	Good - Being able to recognize and know the difference between all of the characters. - Also knowing the roles and what they do.
Setting (Time and Place)	Poor - Not being able to understand time and place. - Time: Tell when the story happened. - Place: Tell where the story takes place.	Fair - Being able to understand what time and place mean and placing the knowledge to the story. - Starting to distinguish the parts in the story; which parts represent time and which ones represent place.	Good - Being able to know exactly which parts in the story represent time and which ones represent place. - Understanding the difference of the two and recognizing that they are part of the setting of the story.
Understanding Comprehension	Poor - Not being able to retell the story read. - Not understanding what the he/she read.	Fair - Being able to understand the story. - Not being able to retell the story completely (main parts are left out).	Good - Understanding what it means to retell and story and give main points in detail.
