Contour Vehicle drawing 
Students will find a realistic car/vehicle reference photo from the internet or from a photo they have taken. They will draw from observation on the surface of 11x14 mixed media paper. Last, the students will add color with watercolor, arteza markers, or oil pastels.

Student didn't pay attention to contour lines and the project contains many sketchy lines and shading.

The student successfully used contour lines in their drawing. The image contains no sketchy lines and only solid drawn lines. Final drawing was outlined in ultra fine sharpie marker.
Composition/resemblance to reference photo

The drawing doesn't resemble the reference photo. The drawing is smaller than half the paper surface.

Not the entire paper surface was used in the drawing and vehicle could have been drawn bigger. The car drawing could have included more details to match the reference photo.

Student used up the space of the drawing surface. The vehicle drawing resembles the reference photo used. The drawing contains many details that match the photo and is proportion to a real vehicle.

Student didn't pay attention to detail and parts of the paper are folded or ripped.
