American Revolution	Outstanding All facts and points of view are accurate. The paper seems to be written during that time. Taking into account the difference in language between now and then, The student covered all important aspects of the time.	Great The paper takes into account the facts and opinions of the time. The writer seems to understand what it was like to exist during this time.	Good The paper seems like it was written with the time in mild but not as if the writer was living during this time.	Poor The paper does seems to have little to do with the revolutionary times.	Garbage The paper is nothing to do with revolutionary times.
Research	Outstanding Much research was done. All facts are from their time. All names from that time are correct. Some extra things were included.	Great Good research amount. Few mistakes were made, factual or otherwise. Everything that was required was done.	Good A moderate amount of research was done. Below required accuracy. Almost everything required was done.	Poor Little research was used. Almost nothing was even moderately accurate.	Garbage Obviously no research was done. There were no accurate names from that time. Most of the fact were not factual.
Writing	Outstanding All conventions are correct and each piece is very well written. Six traits are established well in all pieces.	Great Most conventions are correct and the mistakes that were made did not distract from the overall effectiveness of the piece. Six traits mildly involved.	Good The mistakes in the pieces of writing were significant enough to distract from the overall pieces. The work could have been written better. Six traits are not very evident.	Poor There are so many mistakes that it makes the newspaper difficult to read. Six traits are not used more than 10% of the time.	Garbage There are so many mistakes that the reader is completely unable to understand what was written. Six traits is not used at all.
