Class Participation Participacion. All students are expected to participate in class! I do understand that some students are shy and participate in ways other than class discussion. Forms of participation other than participating in class discussion (although this is a primary form of participation) include coming to me for extra help, giving other students feedback in class, adhering to the no-voice and no-phone rule, consistent attendance, and being able to answer in-class dialogue from both the teacher and other students. Class Participation
	Excellent 4 pts	Good 3 pts	Average 2 pts	Need Improvement 0 pts
PUNCTUALITY	Excellent Student is on time or early for class.	Good Student is late for class but has a pass.	Average Student is 0-10 minutes late for class.	Need Improvement Student is more than 10 minutes late.
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR	Excellent Student asks questions and/or participates in class discussions at least TWICE during class, and participates in pair/group discussions.	Good Student asks questions and or/participates in class discussions at least ONCE, and participates in pair/group discussions.	Average Student asks questions and/or participates AT LEAST ONCE in class, however, struggles with pair/group discussions.	Need Improvement Student DOES NOT participates in class discussions or ask questions; does not participate in pair/group discussions.
PREPARATION	Excellent Student is prepared for class with assignments and required materials. Student takes notes without being prompted to.	Good Student is prepared for class with assignments and required materials. Student may need to be prompted to take notes.	Average	Need Improvement Student is always unprepared for class and never takes notes.
