Understanding Organization
	Poor 5 pts	Fair 10 pts	Good 20 pts
Uses appropriate Organization Tools 5 pts Students will choose a graphic organizer to use as a guide in organizing their ideas for the topic of their paper.	Poor Student did not use a Graphic organizer at all or used an organizer incorrectly. Little or no effort was made to show an understanding of the assignment.	Fair Used Graphic Organizer, but only partically. Could see an effort and direction but did not complete all aspects of this portion of the assignment.	Good Used Graphic Organizer to the fullest. Student shows work on the organizer, with everything filled in.
Shows understanding of New Rule 5 pts Shows awareness for developing a New Rule for the common good of others	Poor Student did not create a new rule for the common good of others or chose to create a rule that did not fit the assignment. Little or no effort shown.	Fair Student created a new rule for the common good, but there were a few too many negatives than positives to the rule.	Good Student created a New Rule for the common good of the people that has very little negative aspects.
Final paper 10 pts Paper should be written with narrative or expository text and demonstrate organized paragraphs and sentences that flow and are easy to read.	Poor The fianl paper was not organized and contained many errors. Student did not follow directions for the assignment.	Fair The final paper is neat, organized and easy to read. But student wrote in wrong type of text or left some information out of the text. Paper is not fully completed to teachers satisfaction.	Good The final paper is neat, organized, easy to read and understand. Student shows a solid understanding of how to write an expository or narrative story or report.
